My Thoughts On Plastic Surgery And Why It's Worthless (New YouTube Video)
I get it. Just a little work here and there. Get rid of a few wrinkles, go up a cup size or two, take away a bit of fat off the thighs. It sounds so appealing to be able to perfect ourselves, but we'll never be perfect. Not in our own eyes at least. That I am wholly convinced of, which is also how people end up looking so much worse than they did before the surgery. Constant fixing, that ultimately turns into a nightmare that one would think only the likes of Mary Shelley could create.
Everyone is beautiful, everyone is ugly, it just depends on who's looking at you. Yes, it's important that your opinion of yourself comes first, but I'm not going to lie and say that other people's opinions don't mean anything. It's just not true for the majority of us, and it feels absolutely incredible when you have someone else dote over how great you look. It's just about the best feeling in the world. The feeling of being beautiful. Although wonderful, we can't get caught up in it, because what is beautiful today may not be tomorrow, and there in lies the demand for drastic measures. Literally, allowing someone to cut you open, and take away or add until you fit into whatever the trend is. Even if you're not following a trend, but for some reason you find that you need work done, answer me this. Why? Why do you really need to "fix" your body? You're not happy with it? Well neither am I, but we need to move past it, because we're not Dr. Frankenstein's monster that he can piece together. We're human beings, with scars, and fat that jiggles when we move, and it's seriously not that big of a deal. We each have our own little markings that show off our uniqueness, and so many of us want to get rid of that, when we should just not even give it another thought. It's our body, take it or leave it. If you do leave, well don't let the door hit you on your fake ass on the way out.
